Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - Med Surg Tele to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Nights at a leading Hospital in Charlotte, NC. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direct patient care for cardiac telemetry patients with conditions including pre/post cardiac procedures, NSTEMI/AMI, and heart failure • Monitor patients with cardiac drips and medications requiring frequent vital sign assessment • Interpret dysrhythmias and manage EKG rhythms with telemetry monitoring • Perform IV starts and manage cardiac interventions • Assist with bedside cardioversion procedures when EP physician is present • Maintain current ACLS certification • Complete required modules and training programs pre-start and annually (8-10 hours) • Pass EKG testing prior to assignment start • Float to other med surg areas and cardiac units with appropriate assignments as needed • Work every other weekend as required • Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year) • Utilize Epic charting system, PYXIS, and SBAR communication • Provide charge nurse coverage as needed • Maintain valid RN licensure (North Carolina or Compact state) • Provide two supervisory references from within the past 12 months • Complete compliance documentation and certifications within 48 hours • Adhere to facility dress code requirements (navy and white scrubs) • Maintain required flu vaccination • Follow fatigue policy limiting work to maximum 5 consecutive days and 60 hours per week
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in NC
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
