Position Summary:

VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - IMC to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Nights at a leading Hospital in Charlotte, NC. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized nursing care for patients with conditions including DKA, Sickle Cell, Sepsis, Respiratory Distress, Pneumonia, Heart Failure, Stroke and stroke-like symptoms
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:4 in the Intermediate Critical Care Unit
• Perform IV starts and manage telemetry and cardiac telemetry monitoring
• Titrate cardiac drips and vasoactive drips as needed
• Participate in rapid response teams and function as a Rapid Response RN
• Manage feeding tubes and implement feeding tube protocols
• Follow heparin protocols and PCA management procedures
• Provide care for stroke (CVA) patients
• Operate specialized equipment including Bipap, Cpap, and Optiflow
• Care for ventilated patients when required
• Perform wound care and manage wound vacuum systems
• Utilize PYXIS and EPIC systems for documentation and medication management
• Float to Medical Surgical units as needed (1:6 ratio)
• Float between sister facilities and affiliate hospitals as required
• Complete 36 hours of unit orientation
• Work 12-hour night shifts from 18:45 to 07:15
• Work at least 4 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
• Make up missed shifts within the same week when possible
• Participate in self-scheduling system subject to approval
• Pass EKG testing prior to start date
• Maintain current ACLS and BCLS certifications
• Complete 8-10 hours of non-billable acute care modules pre-start and annually
• Comply with facility dress code requirements (navy or navy and white scrubs)
• Adhere to fatigue policy limiting work to maximum 5 consecutive days and 60 hours per week
• Maintain valid RN licensure in North Carolina or compact state
• Provide minimum 2 years of nursing experience with recent ICU experience required

Job Requirements:

Active, unencumbered license in NC
Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)

Other Required Documentation:

Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
Two current clinical references
State-required professional license
Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
Must pass background check and drug screening
