Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - Med Surg Tele to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Nights at a leading Hospital in Winston Salem, NC. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direct patient care for medical-surgical patients on telemetry unit
• Monitor patients using telemetry equipment and interpret basic cardiac rhythms
• Perform IV insertions and maintain intravenous access
• Maintain current BCLS certification
• Utilize Epic charting system for patient documentation
• Use SBAR communication method for patient reporting
• Operate Pyxis medication dispensing system
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:6-7 as assigned
• Float to other units within hospital or affiliate hospitals as needed
• Work every other weekend as required
• Work 12-hour night shifts from 18:45 to 07:15
• Participate in self-scheduling system
• Complete 24 hours of unit orientation
• Pass EKG testing prior to assignment start
• Complete required non-billable training modules pre-start and annually
• Adhere to facility dress code requiring navy and/or white scrubs
• Comply with fatigue policy limiting work to maximum 5 consecutive days and 60 hours per week
• Maintain valid RN licensure
• Provide supervisory references from within past 12 months
• Complete required flu vaccination or approved exemption
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in NC
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems [Epic, Cerner, etc. preferred]
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
