Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - OR to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Nights at a leading Hospital in Winston Salem, NC. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform both scrubbing and circulating duties in the operating room • Provide specialized care for neuro spine, ortho spine, vascular, and robotics procedures • Work 12-hour night shifts (Monday-Wednesday) • Maintain current BCLS certification • Complete minimum 36 hours of unit orientation over three days • Utilize PYXIS, EPIC, and SBAR systems for documentation and communication • Complete 8-10 hours of non-billable acute care modules pre-start and annually • Work 2 out of 3 major holidays when they fall within contract period • Float within hospital or to affiliate hospitals as needed based on census and skill sets • Participate in staff meetings and utilize communication boards • Comply with facility dress code requirements including provided ceil blue scrubs • Complete required compliance documentation and lab work within 48 hours after signing • Maintain valid RN licensure (NC or Compact) • Provide two manager/supervisor references from within the past 12 months • Adhere to fatigue policy limiting work to maximum 5 consecutive days and 60 hours per week • Support patient care in specialties including urology, podiatry, oncology GYN, general surgery, ENT, and plastics as needed
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in NC
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems [Epic, Cerner, etc. preferred]
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
