Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - OR to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Days at a leading Hospital in Winston Salem, NC. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide circulating and scrubbing services in operating room settings • Maintain current BCLS certification • Complete minimum 36 hours orientation over three days not including Epic training • Work 12-hour shifts including Saturday, Sunday, and one weekday depending on staffing needs • Work 2 out of 3 major holidays when they fall on weekend or scheduled workday • Provide patient care services across multiple specialties including neuro spine, ortho spine, vascular, and robotics • Utilize Epic charting system, PYXIS, and SBAR communication methods • Maintain strong experience in at least 2 of the priority specialties: Neuro/Neuro Spine, Ortho/Ortho Spine, Vascular, or Robotics • Handle patient diagnoses in General, Podiatry, Urology, Oncology GYN, ENT, and Plastics procedures • Float within hospital or to affiliate hospitals as needed based on census and skill sets • Complete required modules and training programs pre-start and annually (8-10 hours non-billable) • Comply with facility dress code requirements using provided ceil blue scrubs • Maintain valid state licensure (NC or Compact license) • Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references from within the past 12 months • Complete required compliance documentation within 48 hours after signing • Adhere to fatigue policy of no more than 5 consecutive days or 60 hours per week • Participate in staff meetings and utilize communication boards for unit coordination
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in NC
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems [Epic, Cerner, etc. preferred]
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
