Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - L&D to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 4x12 Nights at a leading Hospital in Winston Salem, NC. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direct patient care for pregnant patients 14 weeks and above in triage, and 20 weeks and above in Labor & Delivery
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:2 in a 21-bed unit
• Manage labor inductions, IUFDs, and care for patients with preterm labor, multiple gestations, and preeclampsia
• Administer and monitor multiple IV drips including Pitocin, magnesium, and insulin
• Recover C-section patients and provide postpartum hemorrhage management
• Circulate in OR during surgical procedures
• Assist with epidural procedures and utilize nitrous oxide when needed
• Perform amnio infusions and operate specialized equipment including epidural pumps, PCAs, and Alaris pumps
• Utilize PYXIS, EPIC, and SBAR systems for documentation and communication
• Float within Women's Services as required based on census and unit needs
• Work 12-hour night shifts with every other weekend requirement
• Maintain current BCLS, AWHONN Intermediate, and NRP certifications
• Complete EPIC training and unit orientation including 2 days on unit and 2 half-days in OR
• Complete required non-billable modules pre-start and annually
• Adhere to fatigue policy limiting work to maximum 5 consecutive days and 60 hours per week
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays as required
• Maintain valid RN licensure and minimum 2 years of L&D experience
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in NC
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems [Epic, Cerner, etc. preferred]
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
