Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - Tele to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Nights at a leading Hospital in Winston Salem, NC. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide nursing care for cardiac telemetry patients including pre and post cardiac procedural patients • Perform IV starts and telemetry monitoring • Maintain current ACLS, BCLS, and NIH certifications • Manage patient ratios of 1:5-6 • Work 12-hour night shifts with 36 or 48 hours per week • Complete 4 weekend shifts per each 6-week schedule • Float to similar units as needed • Care for patients with diagnoses including Pre/Post Cath, Pre/Post PPM & AICD, Watchmen Procedures, Stress Tests, TIA population, Carotid Stent Patient Management • Manage arterial and venous sheaths • Administer and monitor cardiac drips including Cardizem, Amiodarone, Renal Dose Dopamine, Lasix Drips, and non-titrating Nitro Drips • Provide care for NSTEMI patients and stable chest pain cases • Manage arrhythmias and cardiac telemetry monitoring • Utilize Epic charting system for documentation • Pass EKG testing prior to start • Complete required pre-start and annual training modules • Work 2 out of 3 major holidays • Maintain valid RN licensure • Provide supervision and patient care in a rapid turnover environment with average length of stay 1.8-2.4 days • Coordinate with ADT nurse during peak patient transition times • Make up any absences at the end of contract • Complete required compliance documentation within 48 hours of signing
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in NC
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems [Epic, Cerner, etc. preferred]
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
