Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - Med Surg Tele to join our growing clinician community. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direct patient care for renal and limb preservation patients with conditions including ESRD, ARF, vascular procedures, CHF, diabetics, and diabetic foot ulcers • Monitor and interpret telemetry readings and cardiac dysrhythmias • Manage patient dysrhythmias appropriately • Maintain patient ratios of 1:5-6 • Utilize EPIC charting system for patient documentation • Operate Pyxis medication dispensing system • Communicate using SBAR format • Float to other units within the hospital or affiliate hospitals as needed • Work every other weekend as required • Work 2 out of 3 major holidays • Participate in daily interdisciplinary team meetings • Coordinate care with hospitalists, RN navigators, nursing assistants, dietary, PT/OT, and pharmacy teams • Assist with peritoneal dialysis treatments on the unit • Coordinate hemodialysis treatments in the hemodialysis unit • Complete 24 hours of unit orientation including preceptor shifts and EMR education • Pass EKG testing prior to start date • Maintain current BCLS certification • Complete required non-billable training modules pre-start and annually • Adhere to self-scheduling system per unit needs • Comply with facility dress code requirements • Complete all required compliance documentation and certifications • Maintain valid RN licensure • Provide supervisory references as required
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in NC
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems [Epic, Cerner, etc. preferred]
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
