Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate OT - Therapy Rehab to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 5x8 Days at a leading Hospital in Santa Rosa, CA. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide occupational therapy services in acute care rehabilitation setting • Maintain current BLS certification and required certifications including Manual Therapy and Hand Therapy • Complete required modules and training programs pre-start and annually (average 16 hours) • Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year) • Utilize Epic charting system for patient documentation and assessment • Float between acute rehab units and affiliate hospitals as required • Provide occupational therapy services for adults and geriatric patients • Conduct assessments for acute and chronic disorders • Perform functional activities training and evaluation • Implement infection prevention protocols and fall/risk assessments • Conduct cognitive assessments and coma management when applicable • Provide CVA rehabilitation and traumatic brain injury treatment • Manage patients with spinal cord injuries, amputations, and neurological diagnoses • Create and implement discharge planning and patient/family education • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services • Maintain valid state licensure and comply with facility policies • Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within comparable specialty/setting • Complete required compliance documentation and certifications • Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules • Use facility-provided communication devices when required for patient care duties • Work Tuesday through Saturday schedule including every Saturday
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in CA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
