Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - OR to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Days at a leading Hospital in Santa Rosa, CA. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide operating room nursing care for trauma, neuro, vascular, and ortho procedures
• Maintain current BLS certification
• Complete required modules and training programs pre-start and annually
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year)
• Utilize Epic charting system for documentation
• Float between sister facilities and affiliate hospitals as needed
• Participate in on-call rotation every 6 weeks (6-8 shifts including nights, evenings and weekends)
• Cover night shifts within contract as needed (1900-0730)
• Maintain valid CA state nursing license
• Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within comparable specialty/setting
• Complete required compliance documentation and certifications
• Perform duties using facility-provided communication devices when required
• Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules
• Adhere to facility policies and procedures for OR patient care delivery
• Work flexible start times (7:00 AM or 9:00 AM)
• Provide care for patients across all age groups (pediatrics, adolescents, adults, geriatrics)
• Perform various surgical procedures including orthopedics, neurosurgery, vascular, robotics, general, GU and GYN cases
• Function as scrub nurse when needed, particularly during night shifts
• Participate in trauma team on-call coverage
• Work independently during night shifts with minimal staffing
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in CA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
