Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Phlebotomist - Phlebotomist / Laboratory to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 4x10 Nights at a leading Hospital in Santa Rosa, CA. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform phlebotomy services including finger stick and heel stick procedures
• Utilize vacutainer method and syringe method for blood collection
• Operate handheld collection devices for specimen gathering
• Provide post venipuncture site care to patients
• Work with patients across all age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Chart patient information and procedures using Epic system
• Maintain current BLS and CPT I certifications
• Float between sister facilities and affiliate hospitals as assigned
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year)
• Complete required pre-start and annual training modules
• Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules
• Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within comparable specialty/setting
• Maintain valid state licensure throughout assignment
• Utilize facility-provided communication devices when required for duties
• Submit monthly cell phone bills for work-related usage when applicable
• Complete compliance documentation and meet all certification requirements
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in CA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
