Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate CT Technologist - CT Tech to join our growing clinician community. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform CT imaging procedures including head, chest, abdomen, and pelvis scans without and/or with contrast • Conduct specialized CT procedures such as coronary CTA, vascular CTA, CT arthrography, and brain perfusion studies • Prepare and administer contrast media as required for examinations • Start peripheral IVs and perform venipuncture procedures • Provide imaging services for multiple patient populations including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics • Respond to emergency department and ICU imaging needs including code stroke protocols • Perform trauma imaging and TAVR-related CT studies • Conduct general X-ray examinations as needed • Utilize PACS system for image management and storage • Perform multiplanar reconstruction (MPR) and post-processing techniques • Assist with CT-guided biopsies, aspirations, and drainage procedures • Maintain current ARRT registration and state licensure • Maintain current BLS certification and venipuncture certification • Utilize Epic charting system for documentation and patient records • Float between inpatient and outpatient areas as required • Float to affiliate hospitals and sister facilities as needed • Work rotating weekend shifts as scheduled • Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year) • Complete required training modules pre-start and annually • Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within comparable specialty/setting • Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules • Utilize facility-provided communication devices when required for assignment duties • Work 8-hour shifts with 30-minute lunch break • Comply with facility dress code requirements
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in CA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
