Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Radiation Therapist - Radiation Therapist to join our growing clinician community. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide radiation therapy treatments to approximately 25 patients per day
• Operate Varian 21 EX/iX radiation therapy equipment
• Utilize ARIA system for treatment planning and management
• Perform tumor localization and patient positioning
• Create and modify custom molds, shields, and blocks as needed
• Execute B-Mode Acquisition targeting procedures
• Conduct CBCT/kV/mV imaging for treatment verification
• Apply compensation filters and wedges as prescribed
• Calculate accurate radiation dose delivery
• Utilize Pinnacle (Philips) and Eclipse (Varian) treatment planning systems
• Administer External Beam Therapy and IMRT treatments
• Operate lift/transfer devices for patient mobility
• Maintain strict radiation safety protocols and procedures
• Implement isolation precautions when required
• Document patient treatments using Epic charting system
• Participate in Rapid Response/Code team activities when needed
• Maintain current BLS and ARRT (T) certifications
• Complete required pre-start and annual training modules
• Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment
• Float between facilities within the state as assigned
• Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules
• Use facility-provided communication devices when required
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in CA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
