Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - PCU to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Nights at a leading Hospital in Salem, OR. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direct patient care as a Registered Nurse in MS/Telemetry/PCU units
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and manage dysrhythmias
• Administer and manage cardiac drips including nitro, Cardizem, and amiodarone
• Titrate cardiac drips, vasoactive drips, and insulin drips as needed
• Maintain BLS and ACLS certifications
• Manage telemetry monitoring for assigned patients
• Provide non-invasive airway management and oxygen protocol implementation
• Care for peripheral lines, PICC lines, and IV management
• Follow isolation precautions and proper PPE protocols
• Document patient care using Epic charting system
• Activate rapid response teams when clinically indicated
• Float between units within facility and to affiliate hospitals as needed
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:4-6 patients
• Work every other weekend as required
• Administer blood products and monitor chemotherapy when assigned
• Manage chest tubes, feeding tubes, and tracheostomy care
• Provide pre/post cardiac catheterization care
• Care for patients with neurological conditions including CVA and traumatic brain injury
• Perform wound care and wound vacuum management
• Complete required pre-start and annual training modules
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including pharmacy, respiratory, and therapy services
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in OR
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
