Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - PCU to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Nights at a leading Hospital in Salem, OR. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide nursing care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients with 1:4-6 patient ratios • Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and telemetry • Manage dysrhythmias and cardiac drips including nitro, Cardizem, and amiodarone • Administer oxygen therapy and manage non-invasive airway interventions • Provide care for peripheral lines, PICC lines, and IV management • Implement isolation precautions and proper PPE protocols • Activate rapid response teams when appropriate • Complete computerized documentation using Epic charting system • Float between units including MS/Tele/Stepdown/IMC as needed • Float to affiliate hospitals including West Valley Hospital • Manage patients with various diagnoses including post-MI, CVA, and surgical conditions • Administer blood products and monitor chemotherapy patients • Provide tracheostomy care and wound management • Manage feeding tubes and continuous bladder irrigation • Monitor patients with chest tubes and surgical drains • Provide pre/post cardiac catheterization care • Manage patients with traumatic brain injuries and seizure disorders • Complete required training modules and annual certifications • Maintain BLS and ACLS certifications • Work every other weekend as required • Provide care to adult and geriatric patient populations
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in OR
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
