Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - L&D to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Nights at a leading Hospital in Torrance, CA. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direct patient care for labor and delivery patients including low and high risk cases • Care for antepartum patients with multiples, hypertensive disorders, diabetic conditions, and multiple system issues • Manage labor patients with multiple system disorders following AWHONN standards • Maintain 1:1 patient ratio for active labor patients and no more than 2:1 for early labor • Circulate and recover cesarean sections • Perform postpartum dilation and curettage procedures • Float to Mother/Baby unit as required • Provide newborn care and postpartum care • Conduct non-stress tests • Set up delivery tables for procedures • Utilize Epic charting system for documentation • Maintain current ACLS, AWHONN Advanced (or C-EFM), BLS, and NRP certifications • Work flexible schedule including weekends and 3 out of 5 major holidays • Complete required modules and training programs pre-start and annually • Float between sister facilities as needed • Provide minimum 3 years of L&D experience • Maintain valid California RN licensure • Provide 2 supervisory references covering 1 year within last 3 years • Complete 24-hour orientation program • Use facility-provided communication devices when required • Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in CA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
