Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - L&D to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Days at a leading Hospital in Santa Monica, CA. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide labor and delivery nursing care in antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum settings
• Monitor fetal heart rates and high-risk pregnancy patients
• Assist with vaginal deliveries and perform sterile vaginal examinations
• Circulate and scrub for cesarean sections in OR suite
• Provide newborn care at delivery
• Perform postpartum couplet care for mothers and newborns
• Work in PACU providing care for patients with general and regional anesthesia
• Assist with emergency procedures including D&C and emergency hysterectomy
• Float to postpartum unit when needed
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality
• Utilize Epic charting system for documentation
• Maintain required certifications including ACLS, BLS, NRP, FHM, and AWHONN Advanced
• Work every other weekend as required
• Work 3 out of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Complete required modules and training programs pre-start and annually
• Provide 2 supervisory references covering 1 year within last 3 years
• Float between facilities within the state as assigned
• Use facility-provided communication devices when required for assignment duties
• Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in CA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
