Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - ICU to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Nights at a leading Hospital in Portland, OR. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direct nursing care to ICU patients with ratios of 1:1 or 1:2 • Manage care of ventilated patients and perform ventilator management • Monitor and interpret cardiac dysrhythmias and manage treatment interventions • Perform continuous monitoring of ECG rhythms and oxygen saturation • Operate and monitor pulmonary artery pressure lines and cardiac output measurements • Care for patients with ventricular assist devices (VAD) and intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) • Manage patients with cardiac pacemakers and unstable post-catheterization lab procedures • Administer vasoactive intravenous medications safely and effectively • Provide care for patients requiring continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) • Care for patients on Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) including VV ECMO • Manage patients with ARDS requiring proning procedures • Provide therapeutic hypothermia management • Utilize Epic charting system for all patient documentation • Float between sister facilities and affiliate hospitals as required to meet unit needs • Maintain current ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and CCRN certifications • Work weekend shifts as scheduled including every other weekend or more frequently as needed • Complete required training modules and continuing education pre-start and annually • Work 3 out of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) • Collaborate with interdisciplinary support teams including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams • Provide 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years • Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules and maintain completion records • Use facility-provided communication devices when required for patient care duties
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in OR
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
