Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate MRI Tech - MRI Tech to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Days at a leading Hospital in Newberg, OR. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform MRI imaging procedures using GE Artist 1.5T scanner and Phillips 1.5T scanner • Conduct variety of imaging cases including neuro, GI, and vascular procedures • Handle daily caseload of 22-24 patients • Perform MRI procedures on adolescents, adults, and geriatrics • Operate imaging equipment in 2-room MRI department • Utilize Epic charting system for documentation and patient records • Prepare and administer contrast media when required • Start peripheral IVs as needed • Perform image post-processing including apparent diffusion coefficient mapping and subtraction • Conduct multiplanar reconstruction (MRP) and maximum intensity projection (MIP) • Use PACS system for image management • Perform various MRI procedures including brain, chest, abdomen, spine, pelvis, and extremity imaging • Conduct specialized imaging including diffusion, T-1 and T-2 weighted images • Perform peripheral magnetic resonance angiography • Utilize surface coils for appropriate imaging procedures • Work weekend shifts as part of 7-day department operation • Maintain current BLS certification and state licensure • Complete required pre-start and annual training modules • Provide 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of experience • Float between sister facilities and affiliate hospitals as needed • Commit to working 3 out of 5 major holidays • Use facility-provided communication devices when required • Complete compliance documentation and certifications • Maintain vehicle for assignment transportation needs
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in OR
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
