Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate PTA - Physical Therapist Assistant Rehab to join our growing clinician community. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide physical therapy assistant services in acute care medical and surgical units
• Treat 8-10 patients per day maintaining appropriate patient ratios
• Work independently as a self-starter to meet patient needs
• Float between units within the facility as required
• Provide services to adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients
• Work weekend rotations with other therapists
• Maintain current BLS certification and state PTA licensure
• Complete required pre-start and annual training modules
• Utilize Epic charting system for documentation
• Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within comparable specialty/setting
• Complete 16 hours of orientation
• Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including respiratory services, interpretation services, social services, and rapid response teams
• Treat patients with various diagnoses including trauma, respiratory, cardiac, kidney, orthopedic, neurologic, and surgical conditions
• Provide services in both acute care and inpatient rehabilitation settings
• Demonstrate skills in gait training, transfer techniques, assistive device training, and therapeutic exercises
• Conduct patient and family education
• Maintain compliance with all facility policies and procedures
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in WA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
