Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Radiation Therapist - Radiation Therapist to join our growing clinician community. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide radiation therapy services in outpatient oncology setting with 1:5 patient ratios
• Operate Varian linear accelerators and CT simulation equipment
• Perform external beam therapy and IMRT treatments
• Utilize ARIA charting system for documentation and treatment planning
• Work with Eclipse (Varian) and Pinnacle (Philips) treatment planning systems
• Conduct CBCT/kV/mV imaging for patient positioning verification
• Perform beam modifying and positioning techniques
• Administer treatments for various cancer diagnoses including prostate cancer with seeds/fiducials
• Maintain current BLS and ARRT T certifications
• Float between two clinical sites approximately 25-30 minutes apart as needed
• Work flexible scheduling including 5x8 or 4x10 hour shifts based on clinic needs
• Complete required pre-start and annual training modules (4-5 hours for non-acute roles)
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
• Participate in storm team and hurricane team assignments during catastrophic events
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team including physicians and RNs on-site
• Follow radiation safety protocols and isolation precautions
• Provide patient care for adult cancer patients with daily census of approximately 110 patients
• Work with specialized equipment including TrueBeam and Vision RT systems
• Perform stereotactic radiosurgery and craniospinal treatments
• Maintain professional standards and comply with facility dress code requirements
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in NC
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
