Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - Cardiac Tele to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Days at a leading Hospital in Wilmington, NC. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direct nursing care to cardiac telemetry patients with diagnoses including congestive heart failure, arrhythmias, and post cardiac catheterization procedures
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and dysrhythmias using telemetry equipment and remote monitoring systems
• Administer and titrate cardiac drips including Dobutamine, Amiodarone, Cardizem, Milrinone, Dopamine, and Diltiazem
• Perform pre and post cardiac catheterization care including sheath removal procedures
• Manage central lines, PICC lines, and peripheral IV access including port access
• Administer blood products and manage transfusion protocols
• Perform sheath pulls, apply TR bands, and operate Femstop devices
• Document patient care using Epic electronic health record system
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:6-7 during assigned shifts
• Float to other units within the hospital or affiliate facilities as needed based on census and unit requirements
• Work 12-hour day shifts (06:45 - 19:15) with potential to float every shift
• Participate in rapid response and code team activities as needed
• Complete 24 hours of unit orientation and pass EKG testing prior to start
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
• Maintain current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Complete required pre-start and annual training modules (8-10 hours for acute care)
• Participate in Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team assignments during catastrophic events
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and social services
• Adhere to fatigue policy limiting work to maximum 5 consecutive days or 60 hours per week
• Maintain professional behavior standards and teamwork approach in all patient and staff interactions
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in NC
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
