Position Summary: 
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - L&D to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Days at a leading Hospital in Charlotte, NC. Key Responsibilities: 
• Provide labor and delivery nursing care for obstetrical patients 16 weeks and greater • Handle double labor assignments on a daily basis in a high-volume unit with over 300 births per month • Maintain 2:1 patient ratios with average of 20 births in 24 hours and 30-40 admits daily • Perform sterile vaginal examinations and provide competent immediate newborn care • Circulate for scheduled and unscheduled Cesarean births • Provide care for high-risk antepartum and postpartum patients • Conduct obstetrical triage to screen patients prior to admission • Perform routine outpatient procedures including antenatal fetal surveillance, intravenous hydration, and medication administration • Assist with rescue cervical cerclage procedures • Utilize Epic charting system, PYXIS, and SBAR for documentation and communication • Float to Special Maternity Care high-risk OB unit as needed • Precept and orient new staff members to the unit when required • Work every other weekend with minimum of 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule • Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year) • Maintain current BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate certifications • Complete 24 hours of unit orientation • Complete 8-10 hours of non-billable modules pre-start and annually • Adhere to fatigue policy limiting work to maximum 5 consecutive days or 60 hours per week • Complete laboratory testing within 48 hours after assignment acceptance • Maintain valid NC or Compact state nursing license • Provide two manager/supervisor references from within the past 12 months • Demonstrate competency in starting and maintaining IVs, pain assessment and management, and telemetry interpretation
Job Requirements: 
- Active, unencumbered license in NC
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation: 
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
