Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate CT Technologist - CT Tech to join our growing clinician community. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform CT scans and imaging procedures for patients across all age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics • Operate CT scanning equipment, preferably CANON Acquilion One scanner • Perform venipuncture and start peripheral IVs as required • Prepare and administer contrast media for enhanced imaging studies • Conduct various CT procedures including head, chest, abdomen, pelvis, vascular studies, and trauma imaging • Perform 3D rendering techniques including maximum intensity projection, surface shaded displays, and volume rendering • Utilize multiplanar reconstruction (MRP) and region of interest measurement (ROI) techniques • Document patient information and procedures using Epic charting system • Maintain patient ratios of 1:3 during days and 1:4 during nights and weekends • Work in various hospital units including Emergency Department, ICU, and both acute care and outpatient settings • Follow radiation safety protocols and maintain ALARA principles • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams • Handle isolation precautions and infection control procedures • Maintain current ARRT CT certification, ARRT R certification, BLS certification, and state licensure • Obtain and maintain LA Fire Card certification • Work 2 weekends per month as required • Commit to working 3 out of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) • Complete required pre-start and annual training modules • Float between facilities within the state as required • Provide 2 supervisory references covering 1 year within the last 3 years • Utilize facility-provided communication devices when required for patient care • Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in CA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
