Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate CT Technologist - CT Tech to join our growing clinician community. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform CT imaging procedures for adolescents, adults, and geriatrics in acute care setting
• Operate Philips Big Bore 16 and Brilliance 64 CT scanners
• Conduct general CT imaging supporting inpatients and outpatients
• Perform specialized procedures including MAKO protocols, CTA Coronary, and interventional procedures
• Support comprehensive stroke center operations with appropriate imaging protocols
• Assist with IR procedures including biopsies, drains, and ablations
• Perform 3D rendering techniques including Maximum intensity projection, Surface shaded displays, and Volume rendering
• Conduct CT studies of abdomen, brain, chest, head, and pelvis with and without contrast
• Execute specialized procedures such as CT arthrography, coronary CTA, and vascular CTA
• Prepare and administer contrast media as required
• Perform venipuncture and start peripheral IVs when needed
• Utilize Epic charting system for documentation and PACS for image management
• Maintain radiation safety protocols and radiation therapy planning procedures
• Work variable shifts including 0700-1530 and 1500-2330
• Provide weekend coverage every other weekend
• Work 3 out of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Float between affiliated facilities within the state as required
• Complete 40 hours of orientation and required training modules pre-start and annually
• Maintain current ARRT with CT certification, BLS, and CRT Fluoroscopy certifications
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV Teams, Radiology, and Rapid Response Teams
• Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules
• Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within comparable specialty
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in CA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
