Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate CT Technologist - CT Tech to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Days at a leading Hospital in Portland, OR. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform CT imaging procedures including 3D rendering (Maximum intensity projection, Surface shaded displays, Volume rendering)
• Conduct abdomen, chest, head, and pelvis scans without and/or with contrast
• Perform specialized procedures including biopsies, aspirations, drainage, and CT arthrography
• Provide CT services for adult acute care, adult outpatient, emergency department, and ICU patients
• Conduct trauma imaging including musculoskeletal trauma, trauma head, and Level III trauma procedures
• Perform vascular imaging including coronary CTA, carotid studies, and pulmonary embolism protocols
• Prepare and administer contrast media safely and appropriately
• Start peripheral IVs and perform venipuncture as needed
• Utilize Epic charting system for documentation and patient records
• Maintain ARRT CT certification and BLS certification
• Follow radiation safety protocols and procedures
• Work with PACS system for image management and storage
• Perform region of interest measurements (ROI) and multiplanar reconstruction (MRP)
• Provide coverage for weekend shifts Saturday-Sunday 0730-2000
• Participate in one week of backup call during contract duration
• Complete 80 hours of facility orientation
• Complete required modules and training programs pre-start and annually
• Float between sister facilities and affiliate hospitals as needed
• Provide 2 supervisory references covering 1 year within last 3 years
• Maintain valid state licensure throughout assignment
• Work 3 out of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules
• Use facility-provided communication devices when required for assignment duties
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in OR
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
