Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate MRI Tech - MRI Tech to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Nights at a leading Hospital in Portland, OR. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform MRI imaging procedures for inpatient, outpatient, and emergency department patients • Conduct all body cases, neuro cases, cardiac MRI, breast biopsy, functional MRI and intraoperative imaging • Perform pediatric imaging procedures across all age groups including infants, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics • Operate MRI equipment including surface coils and various imaging sequences (T-1, T-2, Spin Echo, Gradient Echo) • Prepare and administer contrast media when required • Start peripheral IVs as needed for procedures • Perform image post-processing including apparent diffusion coefficient mapping and subtraction • Conduct specialized imaging including perfusion, spectroscopy, and peripheral magnetic resonance angiography • Utilize PACS system for image management and Epic charting system for documentation • Maintain current ARRT MR certification, BLS certification, and state licensure • Complete required pre-start and annual training modules (average 16 hours) • Work assigned schedule of Wednesday-Friday and Sunday-Tuesday, 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM • Commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) • Float between sister facilities and affiliate hospitals as required • Provide 2 supervisory references covering 1 year within last 3 years during compliance process • Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules • Use facility-provided communication devices when required for assignment duties • Complete 40 hours of orientation training • Adhere to all facility policies and procedures for patient care delivery
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in OR
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
