Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate MRI Tech - MRI Tech to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Nights at a leading Hospital in Portland, OR. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform MRI imaging procedures for all body cases, neuro cases, CMR, breast biopsy, functional MRI and intraoperative imaging
• Conduct MRI imaging for inpatient, outpatient, and ER patients
• Perform pediatric MRI imaging across all age groups including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Prepare and administer contrast media as required
• Start peripheral IVs when needed
• Operate MRI equipment including surface coils and various imaging sequences
• Perform image post-processing including apparent diffusion coefficient mapping and subtraction
• Utilize PACS system for image management
• Document patient information and procedures using Epic charting system
• Work night shift schedule (6:30pm-7am) with block scheduling pattern
• Float between sister facilities and affiliate hospitals as needed
• Maintain current BLS certification and state licensure
• Complete required pre-start and annual training modules
• Provide 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of experience within last 3 years
• Work 3 out of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Utilize facility-provided communication devices when required
• Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules
• Adhere to facility policies and procedures
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in OR
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
