Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate MRI Tech - MRI Tech to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Nights at a leading Hospital in Portland, OR. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform MRI imaging procedures for inpatients, outpatients, and emergency department patients
- Conduct all body cases, neurological cases, cardiac MRI, and functional MRI studies
- Perform breast biopsy procedures and intraoperative imaging
- Provide imaging services for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
- Operate MRI equipment including surface coils and various imaging sequences (T1, T2, spin echo, gradient echo)
- Prepare and administer contrast media when required
- Start peripheral IVs as needed for procedures
- Perform image post-processing including ADC mapping and subtraction techniques
- Utilize multiplanar reconstruction (MRP) and maximum intensity projection (MIP) imaging
- Document patient information and procedures using Epic charting system
- Maintain current BLS certification and state licensure
- Complete required pre-start and annual training modules
- Work assigned night shift schedule (6:30 PM - 7:00 AM)
- Commit to working 3 out of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- Float between sister facilities and affiliate hospitals as required
- Provide 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of experience
- Maintain transportation vehicle for assignment requirements
- Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules
- Utilize facility-provided communication devices when required
- Complete required compliance documentation and background checks
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in OR
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
