Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate MRI Tech - MRI Tech to join our growing clinician community. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform MRI imaging procedures for inpatients, outpatients, and ER patients
• Conduct all body cases, neuro cases, CMR, breast biopsy, functional MRI and intraoperative imaging
• Provide imaging services for pediatric patients including infants
• Operate MRI equipment including GE and Siemens systems
• Perform various imaging techniques including T-1 and T-2 weighted images, gradient echo imaging, and spin echo images
• Conduct specialized procedures such as diffusion imaging, perfusion studies, and spectroscopy
• Prepare and administer contrast media when required
• Start peripheral IVs as needed
• Utilize surface coils and perform image post-processing including ADC mapping and subtraction
• Create maximum intensity projection (MIP) and multiplanar reconstruction (MRP) images
• Document patient information and procedures using Epic charting system
• Utilize PACS system for image management
• Maintain ARRT MR certification and state licensure
• Maintain current BLS certification
• Complete required pre-start and annual training modules
• Float between sister facilities and affiliate hospitals as needed
• Work scheduled night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• Provide imaging services for patients of all age groups including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Provide 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of experience
• Complete required compliance documentation and certifications
• Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules
• Use facility-provided communication devices when required for assignment duties
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in OR
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
