Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Echo Technologist - Echo Tech to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 4x10 Days at a leading Hospital in Portland, OR. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform echocardiography procedures including 2-D Echo, Color Doppler, M-Mode, and bubble studies • Conduct pharmacologic stress echo and treadmill stress echo procedures • Perform imaging with contrast agents and LV strain/LV volume assessments • Build preliminary echo reports in the EMR for physician interpretation • Make measurements according to American Society of Echocardiography standards • Utilize Epic charting system for documentation and reporting • Maintain current ARDMS, ARDMS RDCS AE, or RDCS certifications • Float between sister facilities and affiliate hospitals as needed • Complete 20 hours of orientation training • Complete required modules pre-start and annually (average 16 hours) • Provide 2 supervisory references covering 1 year within last 3 years • Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules • Commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) • Use facility-provided communication devices when required for assignment duties • Maintain valid state licensure • Apply solid understanding of cardiac anatomy and physiology in daily practice • Operate Philips echocardiography equipment proficiently
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in OR
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
