Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - ICU to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Nights at a leading Hospital in Petaluma, CA. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direct patient care as an RN in the ICU setting
• Maintain 1:2 patient ratios during day, night, and weekend shifts
• Manage arterial lines and central line care
• Interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias
• Titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Provide ventilator management for critically ill patients
• Utilize Epic charting system for patient documentation
• Work every other weekend with 13 weekend shifts per contract
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year)
• Float to telemetry units and affiliate facilities as required
• Maintain current ACLS and BCLS certifications
• Complete required pre-start and annual training modules
• Provide care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary support teams including phlebotomy, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
• Maintain valid California RN license
• Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within comparable ICU setting
• Complete 12-hour orientation program
• Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules
• Comply with facility policies and procedures for critical care delivery
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in CA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
