Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RAD Tech - Interventional Rad Tech to join our growing clinician community. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform interventional radiology procedures including vascular procedures, IR CT or US guided biopsies, percutaneous nephrostomies, and lumbar punctures • Execute cardiac catheterization procedures, pacemaker placements, and ICD insertions • Conduct electrophysiology studies and cardiac ablation procedures • Operate specialized equipment including Impella, IABP, Shockwave, Penumbra, Micra, Rota, ACIST, CSI.RFA, and Cryo systems • Provide accurate monitoring and hemodynamic assessment during procedures • Maintain sterile technique and sterile field during scrub procedures • Circulate procedures and ensure proper equipment setup • Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations for adult patients • Assist with percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI) and percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA) • Support procedures in cardiac cath lab, IR lab, and vascular/EP hybrid lab environments • Provide pre and post procedure patient care in 8-bed recovery area • Utilize Epic charting system for documentation and patient records • Maintain current BLS certification and complete annual training modules • Stock supplies and maintain equipment in procedural areas • Work with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams • Recognize and respond appropriately to life-threatening arrhythmias • Comply with isolation precautions and infection control protocols • Work every third weekend and be available for on-call duties • Complete required pre-start and annual training modules • Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within comparable specialty setting • Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year) • Float between sister facilities and affiliate hospitals as needed • Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in CA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
