Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - OR to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Days at a leading Hospital in Santa Rosa, CA. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide OR nursing services for trauma, neuro, vascular, and orthopedic procedures • Work variable schedule including Saturday 0700, Sunday 0700, Monday 1500 shifts • Cover night shifts within contract as needed (1900-0730) • Take on-call assignments distributed equally every 6 weeks (up to 6-8 shifts per 6-week period) • Float between sister facilities and affiliate hospitals as required • Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year) • Maintain current BLS certification • Utilize Epic charting system for documentation • Perform diverse OR procedures including orthopedics, neurosurgery, vascular, robotics, general, GU and GYN surgeries • Operate specialized equipment including Da Vinci Xi Surgical System and cell saver • Provide patient care for all age groups including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics • Handle trauma cases including gunshot/stab wounds and MVA with multiple injuries • Maintain valid state licensure • Complete required pre-start and annual training modules • Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within comparable specialty/setting • Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules • Use facility-provided communication devices when required for duties • Handle specimens according to proper labeling and handling procedures • Respond to codes and emergency situations • Comply with safety protocols including fire safety, laser safety, and radiation safety
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in CA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
