Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - L&D to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Days at a leading Hospital in Santa Rosa, CA. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direct patient care in Labor and Delivery and Post-Partum settings
• Maintain 1:3 patient ratios across all shifts
• Perform labor and delivery nursing duties including high-risk antepartum care
• Administer specialized medications including anticoagulants, antihypertensives, insulin drips, and magnesium sulfate therapy
• Circulate for C-sections and assist with facility births (200-300 per month)
• Conduct sterile vaginal exams and triage obstetrical patients
• Place and calibrate intrauterine pressure catheters (IUPC)
• Maintain and manage central lines (CVC/PICC)
• Provide care in LDRP environment for neonates and adults
• Utilize Epic charting system for all documentation
• Maintain current certifications in ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, and NRP
• Float between sister facilities and affiliate hospitals as assigned
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year)
• Complete required pre-start and annual training modules
• Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within comparable specialty
• Maintain valid state licensure and current certifications
• Follow isolation precautions and proper PPE protocols
• Demonstrate strong precepting skills when applicable
• Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules
• Comply with facility dress code and policy requirements
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in CA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
