Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - L&D to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Nights at a leading Hospital in Santa Rosa, CA. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide nursing care for labor and delivery and post-partum patients in LDRP setting • Maintain current ACLS, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate certifications • Utilize Epic charting system for patient documentation • Manage patient ratios of 1:3 during all shifts • Perform sterile vaginal exams and triage obstetrical patients • Administer anticoagulants, antihypertensives, and insulin drips as prescribed • Manage magnesium sulfate therapy for high-risk patients • Maintain and monitor central lines including CVCs and PICCs • Circulate for cesarean section procedures • Place and calibrate intrauterine pressure catheters (IUPC) • Implement isolation precautions and proper PPE protocols • Care for high-risk antepartum patients • Float between sister facilities and affiliate hospitals as required • Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year) • Complete required pre-start and annual training modules • Provide minimum 2 supervisory references covering 1 year employment in comparable specialty • Maintain valid state nursing licensure • Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules • Use facility-provided communication devices when required for assignment duties • Comply with facility dress code and policies
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in CA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
