Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Ultrasound Tech - Ultrasound Tech to join our growing clinician community. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform ultrasound procedures including General, Abdomen, OB/GYN, High Risk Obstetrics, Renal/Pelvis, Small Parts, and Vascular studies • Conduct specialized procedures including Carotid, Arterial, Doppler Studies, Peripheral Vascular, Renal Artery Duplex, and Upper/Lower Extremity Venous and Arterial studies • Perform pediatric intussusception and appendix ultrasound examinations • Provide neonate/NICU ultrasound services • Operate ultrasound equipment including Samsung and GE systems • Utilize Trophon for high-level disinfection of ultrasound probes • Document patient information and procedures using EPIC and McKesson systems • Transport equipment and provide portable ultrasound services as needed • Work in outpatient, inpatient, and emergency department settings • Maintain current BLS certification throughout assignment • Complete required pre-start and annual training modules (4-5 hours for non-acute roles) • Work assigned 12-hour night shifts from 18:00 to 06:30 • Work Saturday, Sunday, and Monday shifts as scheduled • Comply with facility dress code wearing royal blue scrubs • Participate in approximately 40 ultrasound procedures per day in the department • Work with interdisciplinary team to provide care for patients of all age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics • Maintain valid state licensure (NC or Compact license) • Adhere to fatigue policy restrictions of no more than 5 consecutive days or 60 hours per week • Complete one week of orientation Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in NC
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
