Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - Cath Lab to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 4x10 Days at a leading Hospital in Charlotte, NC. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide nursing care in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory performing scrub duties for all procedures including diagnostic and interventional procedures
• Perform balloon angioplasty, PCI, stents, thrombectomy, Impella insertion, left and right heart catheterization, and Rotablader procedures
• Scrub for structural heart and TAVR procedures as required
• Monitor patients during cardiac catheterization procedures including PA lines and telemetry
• Circulate procedures and assist with IV starts and conscious sedation when needed
• Interpret cardiac rhythms and manage dysrhythmias during procedures
• Assist with complex procedures including laser atherectomy, peripheral vascular interventions, PFO/ASD closures, EKOS, IABP placement and management
• Utilize Epic charting system and MAC Lab for documentation and procedure management
• Maintain current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Complete required modules and training programs pre-start and annually (8-10 hours non-billable)
• Pass EKG testing prior to start date
• Work 10-hour day shifts Monday through Friday (07:00-17:30)
• Participate in call responsibilities one day per week and one weekend per 4-week schedule with callback requirements
• Float to other units such as EP or patient holding areas within the Cath Lab as needed
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays as required
• Complete orientation within first week of assignment
• Adhere to fatigue policy of no more than 5 consecutive days or 60 hours per week
• Provide two supervisory references from within the past 12 months
• Maintain current state nursing license (NC or Compact state license accepted)
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in NC
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
