Position Summary:

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide cardiac catheterization laboratory nursing services in a 3-room setting
• Scrub for all cardiac procedures including diagnostic and interventional cases
• Monitor patients during cardiac catheterization procedures
• Manage PA lines and telemetry monitoring
• Perform balloon angioplasty, PCI, stents, and thrombectomy procedures
• Assist with Impella insertion and management
• Conduct left and right heart catheterization procedures
• Operate Rotablader equipment during procedures
• Provide structural heart and TAVR experience when required
• Circulate procedures and start IVs as needed
• Administer and monitor conscious sedation
• Assist with Watchman procedures and septal closures
• Support ablation procedures and coil embolization
• Manage filter placement procedures
• Interpret cardiac rhythms and EKG settings
• Maintain current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Utilize EPIC and MAC Lab systems for documentation
• Work 10-hour shifts Monday through Friday (07:00-17:30)
• Participate in call schedule one day per week and one weekend per 4-week schedule
• Float to EP lab or patient holding area within catheterization lab when needed
• Complete required pre-start and annual training modules
• Pass EKG testing prior to assignment start
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays as required
• Maintain valid nursing license and complete compliance documentation
• Adhere to fatigue policy limiting work to maximum 5 consecutive days or 60 hours per week
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in NC
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
