Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Nuclear Medical Technician - Nuclear Med Technician / Radiology to join our growing clinician community. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform nuclear cardiology studies including stress testing and Amyloid (PYP) studies
• Conduct rest/stress myocardial imaging procedures including exercise/rest-multiple, exercise/rest-single, and pharmacological stress tests
• Start and maintain peripheral IVs for patients
• Handle, store, and dispose of radioactive materials in accordance with safety protocols
• Operate specialized equipment including hot lab equipment, dose calibrator, well counter, and Spectrum Dynamics DSPECT cameras
• Provide patient care services for adult and geriatric patients in outpatient cardiology setting
• Maintain current BLS certification and ARRT N or CNMT certification
• Complete required non-billable training modules pre-start and annually (4-5 hours for non-acute roles)
• Utilize Epic charting system for patient documentation
• Work with patients diagnosed with coronary artery disease, chest pain, shortness of breath, and those requiring pre-op clearance
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:4 with average daily census of 8-10 patients
• Complete 40-hour facility orientation program
• Provide two supervisory references from within the past 12 months
• Maintain valid state licensure (NC or Compact license required)
• Adhere to fatigue policy of no more than 5 consecutive days or 60 hours per week
• Complete required compliance testing within 48 hours of signing
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in NC
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
