Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate CT Technologist - CT Tech to join our growing clinician community. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform CT imaging procedures for approximately 70 exams per day in a 2-camera department
• Operate Siemens CT equipment including Definition AS+ and Drive systems
• Provide imaging services for adult acute care, adult outpatient, emergency department, pediatric acute care, and pediatric outpatient patients
• Perform Level I and Level II trauma imaging procedures
• Utilize 3D rendering techniques including maximum intensity projection, surface shaded displays, and volume rendering
• Execute multiplanar reconstruction (MRP) and region of interest measurement (ROI)
• Conduct various CT studies including head, chest, abdomen, pelvis with and without contrast
• Perform specialized procedures such as coronary angiography, calcium scoring, enterography studies, and vascular imaging
• Prepare and administer contrast media as required
• Start peripheral IVs and perform venipuncture when necessary
• Chart patient information and procedures using Epic system
• Utilize PACS (Visage) for image management and storage
• Maintain current ARRT certification and BLS certification
• Work scheduled shifts including Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (07:00-19:30)
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year)
• Complete required pre-start and annual training modules (8-10 hours)
• Adhere to radiation safety protocols and maintain proper safety standards
• Follow isolation precautions and infection control procedures
• Provide patient care across all age groups including pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Maintain professional standards and comply with facility dress code requirements
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in NC
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
