Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - Oncology to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 5x8 Days at a leading $facility_type$ in Matthews, NC. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide nursing care to adults over 18 with hematology and medical oncology diagnoses • Administer chemotherapy treatments to patients in infusion chairs • Maintain central line and implanted line care expertise • Manage patient ratios of 1:5 during day shifts • Utilize Epic charting system for patient documentation • Work with Pyxis medication dispensing system • Operate ambulatory infusion pumps and specialized equipment • Float between Matthews and Ballantyne clinic locations as needed • Complete 8-hour unit orientation and required training modules • Maintain current BLS certification and ONS Chemo/Bio Card • Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year) • Complete non-billable training modules pre-start and annually • Provide two manager/supervisor references from past 12 months • Maintain valid NC or Compact state nursing license • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including IV teams, pharmacy, and phlebotomy • Complete pre-shift COVID screening as required • Adhere to fatigue policy limitations of maximum 5 consecutive days or 60 hours per week • Participate in online learning, Zoom, webinar, and in-person training classes • Maintain professional appearance with navy blue scrubs requirement
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in NC
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
