Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - Cardiac Tele to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Days at a leading Hospital in Winston Salem, NC. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direct patient care for cardiac telemetry patients including those with chest pain, arrhythmias, pacemakers, or defibrillators
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and dysrhythmias
• Manage cardiac drips including Cardizem, Dopamine, dobutamine, milrinone, amiodarone, Lasix and heparin
• Titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips as needed
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:5-6
• Utilize Epic charting system for patient documentation
• Complete 36 hours of unit orientation
• Maintain current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Pass EKG testing prior to start
• Float to other cardiac telemetry units as required
• Work 4 weekend days in a 6-week time track
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
• Complete 8-10 hours of non-billable modules pre-start and annually
• Adhere to fatigue policy of no more than 5 consecutive days or 60 hours per week
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and heart failure navigator
• Provide blood product administration and central line care/management
• Manage peripheral line care and non-invasive airway management
• Follow isolation precautions and utilize rapid response teams when needed
• Complete required compliance documentation within 48 hours of signing
• Maintain valid NC or Compact state nursing license
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in NC
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
