Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate CT Technologist - CT Tech to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Days at a leading Hospital in Charlotte, NC. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform CT scanning procedures for patients in the emergency department including routine ED patients, Code Stroke, and trauma patients
• Operate Siemens Scanner (Model Name: FORCE) and GE equipment for CT imaging
• Complete CT procedures including Abdomen, Pelvis, Head/neck, Chest, Spine, Musculoskeletal, Brain Perfusion, CTAs, and Multiplanar Reconstruction
• Maintain current BLS and ARRT(R)(CT) certifications
• Perform CT scans on patients of all age groups including Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, and Geriatrics
• Handle daily caseload of 150-200 scans across 4 rooms in a fast-paced environment
• Document patient information and procedures using Epic charting system and Visage imaging software
• Administer contrast media and perform IV starts when required
• Work weekend schedule covering Friday, Saturday, and Sunday shifts (12-hour days: 07:45am - 20:15pm)
• Complete required modules and training programs pre-start and annually (8-10 hours of non-billable modules)
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year)
• Float to other units within the hospital or affiliate hospitals based on census and skill sets
• Maintain radiation safety protocols and follow isolation precautions as needed
• Complete 48 hours of orientation training
• Provide minimum 2 years of CT technologist experience with Level II Trauma experience
• Comply with fatigue policy of not working more than 5 consecutive days or 60 hours per week
• Complete required compliance documentation and laboratory testing within 48 hours of assignment
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in NC
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
