Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - L&D to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 4x12 Nights at a leading Hospital in Charlotte, NC. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide patient care for obstetrical patients 16 weeks and greater for intrapartum, high-risk antepartum, and postpartum care
• Maintain 2:1 patient ratio in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
• Circulate for scheduled and unscheduled Cesarean births
• Perform sterile vaginal examinations
• Provide competent immediate newborn care
• Utilize Epic charting system for documentation
• Work in obstetrical triage unit for patient screening and routine outpatient procedures
• Assist with antenatal fetal surveillance, intravenous hydration, and medication administration
• Support rescue cervical cerclage procedures
• Float to Special Maternity Care high-risk OB unit as needed
• Float between sister facilities and affiliate hospitals as required
• Work every other weekend with minimum of 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
• Work 12-hour night shifts from 18:45 to 07:15
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year)
• Precept and orient new staff members to the unit as needed
• Maintain current BCLS, AWHONN Intermediate, and NRP certifications
• Complete required modules and training programs pre-start and annually
• Comply with fatigue policy of no more than 5 days in a row and/or 60 hours per week
• Maintain valid RN licensure
• Complete 24-hour unit orientation
• Provide two manager/supervisor references from within the past 12 months
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in NC
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
