Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Surgical Tech - Surgical Tech CVOR to join our growing clinician community. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide surgical technician services for cardiovascular and thoracic procedures
• Assist with open heart procedures, lung procedures, and vascular procedures
• Work varying shifts of 8-10 hours depending on department needs
• Participate in on-call rotation with 10-12 call shifts per month
• Serve as part of on-call team during holiday rotations
• Complete required training modules and competency testing
• Maintain current professional licensure and certifications
• Complete mandatory health screenings and vaccinations
• Pass required background checks and compliance screenings
• Undergo drug screening and fit testing as required
• Complete specialty-specific competency assessments
• Adhere to facility policies and procedures
• Maintain patient confidentiality and system security agreements
• Participate in continuing education and training programs
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in IA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
