Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - OR to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Days at a leading Hospital in Mason City, IA. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide nursing care in the operating room setting
• Participate in holiday call rotation coverage
• Handle overnight call approximately every 1-2 weeks
• Cover weekend call approximately every 4-5th weekend
• Work flexible shift schedules including 12-hour (0600-1830), 9-hour (0900-1830), or 10-hour (0800-1830) shifts
• Maintain 36-40 hours per week plus call responsibilities
• Complete license and certificate verification requirements
• Undergo fit testing for personal protective equipment
• Complete specialty-specific competency testing for OR
• Maintain required immunizations including MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, COVID-19, and Influenza vaccines
• Complete tuberculosis screening with 2-Step PPD or IGRA testing
• Pass color vision testing requirements
• Complete physical and health assessment
• Undergo criminal background check and drug screening
• Complete education verification process
• Participate in Joint Commission testing and training
• Complete skills checklist and competency assessments
• Complete child and adult dependent abuse training
• Adhere to code of conduct and confidentiality agreements
• Complete conflict of interest disclosure
• Maintain professional liability insurance coverage
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in IA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
