Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - OR to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Days at a leading Hospital in Mason City, IA. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide nursing care services as an Operating Room RN
• Participate in call rotation including holidays
• Work overnight call approximately every 1-2 weeks
• Work weekend call approximately every 4-5th weekend
• Work 12-hour shifts (0600-1830), 9-hour shifts (0900-1830), or 10-hour shifts (0800-1830)
• Work 36-40 hours per week plus call requirements
• Maintain current nursing license verification
• Complete required health screenings including fit testing and drug screening
• Complete mandatory training programs and competency testing
• Maintain required immunizations including COVID-19, MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, and Tdap
• Complete tuberculosis screening via 2-Step PPD or IGRA testing
• Complete annual physical and health assessments
• Pass color vision testing requirements
• Complete criminal background check and education verification
• Complete Joint Commission testing and skills checklist
• Complete child and adult dependent abuse training
• Adhere to code of conduct and confidentiality agreements
• Complete required compliance documentation and system access forms
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in IA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
