Experience
- Minimum 2 years experience in Labor & Delivery required; 3 years preferred
- Previous experience with a volume of over 300 births per month required
- Double labor assignment experience required
- Experience in high volume or similar settings preferred
License & Certification Required
- Active RN license
- BLS
- AWHONN Intermediate
- NRP
- AWHONN Advanced (acceptable in lieu of AWHONN Intermediate)
Skills Required
- Circulating for C-sections
- Competent in immediate newborn care
- Sterile vaginal exam
- Labor & Delivery experience
- Triage of obstetrical patients
- IV startup and maintenance
- Pain assessment and management
- Interpretation of dysrhythmias
Desired Skills
- Experience in high-risk antepartum care
- Experience with neonatal arrest
- Charting experience with Epic
