Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience required; 3 years preferred
- Experience in a high-volume setting with more than 300 births per month required
- Previous travel experience accepted, first-time travelers welcome if they have experience in a large, high-volume setting
- Experience with double labor assignments on the unit
License & Certification Required
- BLS
- AWHONN Intermediate
- NRP
- AWHONN Advanced accepted in lieu of AWHONN Intermediate
Skills Required
- Circulation for C-sections
- Competence in performing sterile vaginal exams
- Immediate newborn care
- Experience in high-risk antepartum care
- Infant/neonatal arrest management
- Interpretation of dysrhythmias
- Isolation precautions and PPE
- Pain assessment and management
- Triage of obstetrical patients
- OCT (Oxytocin Challenge Tests)
Desired Skills
- Experience with LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum)
