Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - GI Lab to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 5x8 Days at a leading Hospital in Santa Monica, CA. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide nursing care services in the GI Lab with 1:3 patient ratios
• Perform GI procedures including colonoscopy, EGD, bronchoscopy, bone marrow biopsy, cardioversion, cystoscopy, ERCP, and endoscopic ultrasound
• Administer and monitor conscious sedation during procedures
• Scrub, circulate, and recover patients undergoing GI procedures
• Utilize reversal agents and loop recorder procedures as needed
• Maintain current BLS certification
• Utilize Epic charting system for patient documentation
• Float between facilities within the state as required
• Take call assignments including every 4th evening and 1/4 weekend 24-hour shifts
• Work 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Complete required pre-start and annual training modules
• Provide nursing care for adult and geriatric patient populations
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, and pharmacy
• Maintain valid state nursing license
• Provide 2 supervisory references covering 1 year within last 3 years
• Complete compliance documentation and background requirements
• Utilize facility-provided communication devices when required
• Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in CA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
