Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Nuclear Medical Technician - Nuclear Med Technician / Radiology to join our growing clinician community. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures and PET/CT scans using Siemens and GE equipment • Operate nuclear medicine machines including E-CAM and orbiter systems • Conduct specialized procedures including MIBG, octreotide scans, thyroid uptake and scans, thyroid ablation treatments, and renograms • Perform cardiac stress tests including exercise, vasodilator, and thallium scans • Execute bone scans, brain SPECT, HIDA scans, lung perfusion/ventilation studies, and parathyroid imaging • Administer radiopharmaceuticals and maintain radiation safety protocols • Draw venous blood and start/maintain IV lines for procedures • Utilize PACS system for image management and Epic charting system for documentation • Work with adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations • Float between outpatient center and hospital settings as required • Maintain current BLS certification and state licensure • Complete required pre-start and annual training modules • Commit to working 3 out of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) • Provide 2 supervisory references covering 1 year within last 3 years • Work collaboratively with students and interdisciplinary team members • Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules • Use facility-provided communication devices when required for assignment duties
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in CA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
