Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - Cath Lab to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 4x10 Days at a leading Hospital in Anchorage, AK. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide nursing care in the Cath Lab setting for adult and geriatric patients
• Perform diagnostic cardiac catheterizations and interventional procedures
• Assist with percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI) including angioplasty and stent placement
• Monitor patients during procedural sedation and administer emergency medications as needed
• Manage specialized cardiac equipment including Impella, IABP, balloon pumps, laser, rotablater, and shockwave devices
• Circulate procedures and maintain sterile technique during interventional procedures
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and manage dysrhythmias during procedures
• Administer blood products, IV medications, and vasopressors as required
• Perform sheath removal and post-procedure monitoring with hemostasis management
• Float to EP Lab or Interventional Radiology as needed within department
• Participate in on-call coverage 1 day per week and every 4th/5th weekend
• Work some Saturday shifts as part of regular 4x10 schedule
• Maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Complete required pre-start and annual training modules
• Utilize Epic charting system for documentation
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year)
• Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within comparable specialty
• Maintain valid state RN licensure
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in AK
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
